For my last birthday, I got a very nice surprise - a masticating juicer!
Since then, I have been drinking freshly pressed juices, especially carrot juice and green juices more often. What a difference it makes.
One day I was thinking back to my childhood eating habits. Although my parents were into health and fed the family with a relatively healthy vegetarian diet, I had a sweet tooth and a thing for salty snacks.
It started with samples from friends who were generous enough to share the treats fron their lunch boxes at school. Later on, when I had a few coins to spend, I happily exchanged them for junk food.
That is how I freely, supplemented my parents provisions with chips, soda pop, candies, chocolate, and the like.
As I remembered, and thought about some of the treats I had enjoyed, I began to wonder, "How much junk food have I eaten over the years?"
